Little Caesars returns to Super Bowl

  • Little Caesars, the Official Pizza Sponsor of the NFL, is returning to the Super Bowl this year after a 2020 debut.
  • This :30 second spot will kick off a cross channel campaign that is focused on “humor, creativity, and mouthwatering pizza-inspired fun.” The spot will feature new menu items.
  • The pizza brand worked with its creative agency of record McKinney on the campaign.

“We are ecstatic to return to the Super Bowl and are excited to deliver more than just delicious pizza,” said Greg Hamilton, chief marketing officer at Little Caesars, in a statement shared with Brand Innovators. “This year’s commercial highlights what makes Little Caesars unique in a bold, crazy-fun way, and captures the kind of energy we love to share with our fans. Plus, there might be something new and exciting to reveal about our hottest product, Crazy Puffs, during Super Bowl LIX week.”

Little Caesars first ran an at the big game in 2020 with a spot starring Rainn Wilson that played on the idea that getting pizza delivered was the best thing since sliced bread. The ad was created in partnership with DoorDash.

Since then, the brand has run campaigns during the NFL season but has sat out the big game. In a 2021 campaign, the pizza company took on “Big Pizza” (aka the competition over pricing). In 2022, Little Caesars partnered with Super Bowl-winning quarterback Matthew Stafford for promotions and charitable work in underserved communities.
