Chief Johnson is a marketing and branding expert with a deep passion for fashion, music, sports, and culture. With a wealth of experience, he has held executive roles on PUMA’s global entertainment team and has a rich history as a musician and pioneer in streetwear and social media marketing. Recognized as one of Billboard’s Top 100 Hip-Hop Power Players, Chief has collaborated with notable artists including Nipsey Hussle, A Boogie, Yo Gotti, Meek Mill, G Eazy, and a host of others, gaining a unique perspective on advocacy and the importance of authenticity.

Previously a signed recording artist, Chief learned the intricacies of the music industry, leveraging that experience to drive the success of the artists he works with. As an early pioneer in the global streetwear boom and social media music marketing through Myspace, he led his hip-hop group to significant prominence on the platform, ultimately securing a record deal with Universal Records/Fontana.

Chief further honed his marketing expertise at streetwear brands like Crooks & Castles and Young & Reckless, where he spearheaded marketing operations and research efforts to build brand awareness. Currently sits as Lead of Entertainment Marketing for PUMA, helping to oversee, build, drive programming, partnerships, and ambassador signings, curated cultural and lifestyle initiatives, philanthropy, and community events. His efforts included launching various PUMA and industry-wide events and driving brand partnerships with renowned music figures. His innovative thinking and extensive experience earned him recognition as one of Billboard’s Top 100 R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players in 2018.

Based in Los Angeles, Chief dedicates his time to mentoring youth and young professionals. He is also the co-founder and co-host of the successful podcast “A Suite Life,” which aims to create impactful conversations with remarkable individuals, sharing valuable insights that listeners can apply to their lives.
