Anthropologie CMO jumps to Victoria’s Secret

Former Anthropologie CMO Elizabeth Preis is joining Victoria’s Secret & Co. as chief marketing officer, effective Tuesday, May 27th.

“To the marketing team, I look forward to meeting each and every one of you over the next few months, listening to you, learning from you, and then strategizing with you to build deeper brand love, for more customers, through all marketing channels—digital and physical,” Preis wrote on LinkedIn.

“To my fellow colleagues on the VS & Co. leadership team, I look forward to meeting and working alongside all of you to grow our authority as the category market leader–one unique customer and experience at a time.”

Preis is a veteran marketing leader having held senior roles across major brands including Estee Lauder, J Crew and Saks Fifth Avenue.

Preis joins Victoria’s Secret as the brand is taking focusing on customer engagement across its brand portfolio. She has experience in customer-focused marketing. “One of our big initiatives has been making sure that we can reach new customers and invite more new customers to the brand without alienating our current customer,” she told Brand Innovators, when she was featured as CMO of the Week. “Thinking about where those customers are, is first and foremost.”
